Severin Air Safaris has been operating its luxury safari packages since 2010 covering the southern part of Kenya between Mombasa and the Masai Mara. By the end of 2012 they will introduce a northern circuit starting from Nairobi and bringing guests to Loisaba, Naivasha and Maasai Mara, with optional extensions including Shaba and Meru National Park.

The professionally guided main tour will depart weekly from Nairobis Wilson airport. On the program are 2 nights at Loisaba Lodge in the Loisaba conservancy, 2 nights at Chui Lodge and Kiaganzi House at Lake Naivasha and 3 nights in Karen Blixen Camp in the Masai Mara. The journey starts with the guests flying into Loisabas private wildlife conservation area where they will be welcomed by their private silver level safari guide. Loisaba Wilderness is outstandingly beautiful, its abundant wildlife is truly wild and its accommodation is comfortable beyond measure. Guests can enjoy several of the many activities Loisaba has to offer including horse riding, camel riding, mountain biking, river rafting or fishing (seasonal) or game drives which are followed by an evening bush sundowner and a night game drive where they have a very good chance to see the elusive Leopard, a regular visitor to Loisabas waterhole. After 2 nights at Loisaba Lodge, the journey continues to Lake Naivasha. The accommodation consisting of both Chui Lodge and Kiangazi House is located in the private Oserian Wildlife Conservancy and for the next 2 days guests can enjoy activities such as a boat ride, daily game drives and a bush breakfast on the shore of the lake.

On the fifth day the journey continues to Karen Blixen Camp in the Masai Mara where the next three days are spent exploring the vast wildlife areas of the Mara Reserve and the Mara North Conservancy which is a beautiful private wilderness area of more than 30,000 hectares. The Masai Mara is famous for its unique concentration of wildlife, birds, rich vegetation and open savannah. It has been classified one of the “Seven Wonders of the World” due to the extraordinary annual migration (July – November) when over 1.3 million wildebeest and zebras cross from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara in search of greener pastures. Less famous, yet very impressive, is the Loita Hills migration, where thousands of local wildebeest come to the Mara North Conservancy between December and May.

The northern circuit can be extended to Meru and Shaba, or be combined with the existing southern circuit. Guests choosing to combine both itineraries will spend another two nights in Satao Elerai Camp in Amboseli, one night in Severin Safari Camp in Tsavo West and two nights in Satao Camp in Tsavo East. Activities on the southern circuit include extensive games drives, bush walks, a visit to a traditional Masai Village in the Elerai Conservancy as well as sundowners at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.
